MOTHERS DAY

We say a prayer on Mothers Day
For the loving mothers we've known.
They are young and old and short and tall,
But "loving" is the description of all.

We pay tribute not only to mothers in fact,
But to women denied a child of their own,
Who have "mothered" other children, with a devotion
That the best of mothers have shown.

We acknowledge the refining influence of women
To bring beauty, culture and kindness to the home
And community, but most of all we appreciate,
The way they bring happiness to the home.

We appreciate all that they do for us,
Love and service they give to us, and others.
There may be many benefits in our houses,
But no houses are home without Mothers.

A house may be filled with conveniences,
Souvenirs from places we roam,
Gear for hobbies , interests and treasures,
But it"s Mother- that makes it "Home Sweet Home".
