We remember the birth of Jesus this day;
And celebrate in a jubilant way.
With carols and lights and Christmas trees
And family dinners and memories.
And presents and greetings and Christmas cards
And parties in all the branches and wards.
But when the festivities of Christmas are gone
The teachings of Jesus will still linger on.
Do unto others the things that you
Would like to have others do unto you.
Forgive and forget for peace of mind
And happiness you'll be sure to find.
Love or friendship given by you
Like a boomerang always come back to you.
Service to others a guaranteed way
To make you happy from day to day.
Jesus said his love will overcome fear
May that love bring you a Happy New Year!
