The Day of all Days, appointed on high
When the Star of all Stars appeared in the sky.
When Shepherds near Bethlehem tending their fold
Were given by Angels that story of old.
That the Son of God to Mary is born
And spirits in prison no longer need mourn.
Though a baby now, The Savior he'll be
For all who'll accept him. From sins they'll be free.
On this day of his birth we sing carols of joy
And give gifts in love to each girl and each boy.
With decorations and Christmas trees
Families and friends share in memories.
But when the festivities of Christmas are gone
The teachings of Jesus will still linger on.
Jesus, alone, can bring peace to us when
We accept his words, "Love! ...and forgive fellow men."
Do unto others the things that you
Would like to have others do unto you.
Forgive and forget for peace of mind
And happiness you'll be sure to find.
Jesus said His love will overcome fear.
May that love bring you a Happy New Year!
