THE SECOND COMMANDMENT

THE SECOND COMMANDMENT
Do unto others the things that you
Would like to have other do unto you.
Make your world the kind you would like to see
By being the friend you’d like others to be

Fault-finding and criticism cause unhappiness.
Like all negative thoughts they will cause you to fail.
They are handicaps resulting from selfishness
And for your welfare they are of no avail.

Be tolerant of the faults and weaknesses of others
And you will begin to enjoy them like brothers.
Forgive all offenses and you will find–
Better health, contentment and peace of mind.

Tolerance and patience show friendliness
And like service to others bring happiness.
Your kindness, compassion, forgiveness and love
Will bring blessings to you from heaven above.

As you sow: so shall you reap.
The more love you give: the more love you keep.
Put friendship and love into favors you do
And friendship and love will return to you..

For these reasons Jesus said, “Love your neighbor.”
And when he needs help give him your labor.
In loving God’s children you are loving Him
And He’ll bless you with enthusiasm, vigor and vim.
